9. Finally World Peace

Back Cover

What if the Book of Revelation is not a prediction of a future Apocalypse, but a retrospective account of events that have profoundly shaped our world? And what if that ancient text contains a key to seeing power, fear, and world order in a completely different light?

In this book, Berend Warrink explores a reading of Revelation in which religious symbolism is interwoven with Gnostic traditions, mythology, and his own lifelong quest. From this perspective, Revelation is not approached as a scenario of doom, but as a coded text about origins, responsibility, and the ways in which we can free ourselves from the old system of power.

Warrink examines how fear and control have been intertwined for centuries with systems of money, violence, and religion, and why our time in particular calls for a renewed, critical look at these structures. This book is not an academic treatise nor a religious explanation, but a personal and contemplative work that invites the reader to reconsider long‑held assumptions.

Berend Warrink was an airline pilot and aerospace engineer, and worked for more than 35 years as a designer and manager at Fokker Aircraft Company in the Netherlands. After his retirement, he wrote several books on consciousness, mythology, and worldviews, in which he connects technical rationality with spiritual reflection.
